Aalina had one of the finest houses in Carmichael corner, thanks to a high paying job and her best trait of making savings. She placed the lovely new chinese vase she had received as a gift and placed it on a small corner table in the hallway. She had received it long back at a family function but had not found anything suitable enough to be put in it. But yesterday for lunch Gabriel had presented her with flowers and she had finally found a use for it. Aalina smoothened her skirt and wet her lips and she looked at the placement of the case closely. She sometimes liked everything perfect. Besides she had lots of time today. Today was Sunday, today was a holiday!
She wore a white dress (the same from the picture on top). She had made plans with Gabriel for the movies. She loved going to the movies but Gab had canceled it last minute. And she dint even get an apointment with her hairdresser. But it felt good to be home. She would probably make popcorn and watch some chick flick. Just as she backed away some, the doorbell rang. She smiled, maybe it was Gabriel. Maybe he was giving her a surprise. She loved surprises!

ELEGANT CLOTHES, YOU WANT TO BE SEEN WITH HER UNDER YOUR TWEEDS YOU SWEAT LIKE A TEENAGER - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -BEGGING YOU TO SIT FOR A PORTRAIT ON THE WALL TO HANG IN THE DARK OF SOME PARLIAMENTARY WALL Little drops of water trickled down the bridge of his nose and eventually detached from his skin, falling to the tiled floor. Grabbing the towel he placed on the counter earlier, Jaymes stepped out of the shower and quickly dried himself off before wrapping the towel around his waist. If he didn't have to share a house with one other person, he would have most likely left the towel in the bathroom and paraded around the house without a care in the world. It wasn't like anyone would see him anyway, but of course he was living with his sister at the moment, so he had to share. It was a bit ridiculous, really. Most grown men would be out on their own as soon as they possibly could. That wasn’t the case with Jaymes, though. He just couldn’t leave his sister to fend for herself, he was that protective of her. Maybe he wasn't ready for her to be all grown up and thought that it was still his role to take care of her? Possibly. But he knew very well that the actual reasoning for the way he felt was that he wanted to spend as much time with his family as he possibly could before he had to go back to war. It would be shocking to most people that knew him well because he wasn't the type of guy to reveal what he was truly feeling, but it made perfect sense to him and to his mother, whom he frequently confided in when he needed someone to talk to about his troubles. She was probably the only other person who knew his entire story of the love he had for his best friend; Aalina Wellington. His dad also knew about the troubles he was having with love, but his dad didn’t really care about that. All he cared about was Jaymes’ career.
He raised a hand to his head; tousling his short dark brown hair as he quickly ran through the possible outfits he could wear. Jaymes wasn't too picky when it came to clothes - as long as it looked good on him, he would wear it. Though, today he was having a bit of difficulty deciding what to pull on, which was ridiculous considering he was only going out to pay his friend a visit. He had gone out to see Aalina countless times before and never had he had any problems like this, so why now? He finally settled on a white t-shirt and a pair of blue jeans - simple enough. To add to his plain attire, he pulled on a baseball hat, positioning it so that it was backwards, and slipped his mirrored aviators on the bridge of his nose. He had no idea what would be in store for him for the remainder of the day, so he wasn’t too keen on wearing something that was of great value to him. Jaymes shrugged it off once he returned to the bathroom and glanced in the mirror, deciding he looked presentable either way. He poked around the house, gathering his wallet, keys and cell phone, and slipped them into his pockets. Before exiting the house, Jaymes mentally debated over whether he should leave his sister a note or not, just in case she grew worried over his absence. After quickly weighing out the pros and cons, he shrugged slightly and decided that if she wanted to get a hold of him, she could call his cell phone.
As he slipped out of the house, he made sure to lock the front door and then moved with a casual stride down the front walkway. Once Jaymes stepped outside, the fresh air seemed to sooth his nerves slightly. He inhaled a deep breath of the afternoon air and let out a content sigh as he reached his car - a classic black 1968 Firebird, one thing he took great pride in. It wasn't in top condition or anything special, but he took good care of it and it looked to be almost new, thanks to the wax job he did a few days ago. Jaymes unlocked and opened the driver’s side, slid in and slammed the door shut. Partial bits of his teeth were shown in the slanted smile that quickly spread along his lips as the engine roared to life with a turn of his key. He pulled out of the driveway and onto the road, tapping his index fingers on the steering wheel in time with the beat of a random song that had started blaring from the radio once the car came to life. It was only a short distance from his house to hers, so the drive was about five or ten minutes long.
A few minutes later, Jaymes pulled into the driveway of her house and parked his caralongside of hers. He slid out of the car, closing the door behind him. His stride was a bit quick as he moved toward the house, so he stopped himself for a moment to regain his composure and continued up the flight of stairs, that lead to the front door, with a less eager walk. Before he realized it, he was standing in front of the door. Jaymes let out another sigh before raising a hand and pressing the small button of the doorbell.
