D E V L I N . M A L A C H I . F I T Z P A T R I C K MONDAY, JUNE 2009 D E V L I N . M A L A C H I . F I T Z P A T R I C K Devlin woke up that morning around noon, like he always did after spending all night partying. He had met a nice guy, they had gotten drunk together and before he knew, they were both taking a cab to his place. It always happened the same way. Dev would wake up with his arm around some stranger, he would slid his way out of bed, jump in the shower hoping that whoever slept on his bed would be gone by the time he finished getting ready. Some times this happened, and other times such as this one, not so much. After spending half an hour in the bathroom, Devlin opened the door to find him... whoever his name was, sitting on the edge of the bed, naked and stretching. Devlin brushed his fingers through his wet hair not even looking at him, and throwing on a shirt. "It's late, and I need to get my day started so if you dont mind" Devlin waited or him to get ready, and once they were both fully clothed, he opened the doors of his room and made his way towards the dining room and into the kitchen
The guy stood there feeling awkward, not really knowing what to do next. What was he expecting? Cuddling? Breakfast in bed? "So, I guess... I'll be seeing you" he spoke putting on his leather jacket and stepping out of the house. Devlin, opened the refrigerator door and grabbed the carton of milk, then he opened one of the cabinets, reaching for the cereal. He prepared himself his nice breakfast and leaned over the counter as he ate it. He was not sure if his roommates were even home. Some of them had things to do in the morning, so he usually was left alone around this time. Devlin was just not a morning person, at all. It really didnt matter if he had a good night sleep, he just was not someone who would wake up early and get the best of the day. He liked staying late, watching the sunrise. Usually he went to sleep around 5 in the morning. Maybe he suffered from insomnia, but that has never been proven
Devli suffered from other things, including his obsessive compulsive disorder. this caused hims to snap at thins that other people would consider unimportant. To him, germs were the devil. Every time they went out to eat, he cleaned his spoon and fork, he wiped the table and the seat he was going to take. He carried hand sanitizer in his pocket all the time ad he used it constantly. Devlin was obsess with cleanliness and he was scared to death of getting sick. It got annoying at times, specially when he forgot to take his medication. Ironically, he never forgets to take those damn pain killers that he doesn't need but he seems to be so addicted to. Devlin was quite the character, that was for sure
He had spent a good amount of time behind his computer talking to his sister, who gave him the worst news possible. She might be pregnant?! Damn it! Devlin didn't even know she was having sex. He still saw her as his little sister. It was hard to believe that she was now a woman and that some guys was putting his hands all over her and fucking up her life. It just pissed him off to know that she has screwed everything up so bad, but she didnt need him to make her feel worse than what she already did. But if there was something about Devlin was that he had little to no tact when it came to delicate things. He always said what was on his mind and it sometimes got him into a shitload of trouble. so, she needed him. So Devlin jumped on his car and drove up to her place. The drive there was hell, because he could not believe that there was a chance that he was going to be an uncle. That and the fact that his brother was back from the war. Perfect!
The relationship between Dev and his brother was not that solid. Was it ever? Yes, when they were kids they were pretty much inseparable. As time went by and they grew older, they both began to change. Wyatt became the pride and joy of their parents, and Devlin was seen as the bad sheep. His grades were never as good as Wyatt's. He was never good at sports, he was never as popular, never as responsible, he was not the best brother to their baby sister. To make matters worse, Wyatt became the perfect soldier, while Devlin became this homosexual good for nothing actor wannabe. His parents did not approve of his lifestyle or any of his life choices and he just grew tired of trying to make them proud. Devlin resented Wyatt for everything, blamed him for a lot of things, even when he was not really the one responsible for any of it. Still, he needed someone to blame and it was easy to just blame his twin brother. so Dev grew bitter, and was now seen as the asshole of the Kingston family. This was his defense mechanism. this was how he coped with everything. Acting like he didnt give a shit, like he didnt care about people. this was how he hid how hurt he actually was. A lot of things clouded his mind as he pulled over her sister's driveway. Devlin parked his car and stepped off, heading towards her front door. As he stood there, he took a deep breath and ran the bell "fuck my life". He muttered to himself as he waited for her to open the door

'--Change my mind or help me to try--,Im afraid and I'm not satisfied Sweat glistened on a petite girls forehead as she lay in bed, tossing and turning. One moment she was sleeping, a grimace on her face, and the next Antionette was running for the bathroom, her had covering her mouth as she she made her way to the porcelain throne down the hallway. The girl's hands grasped the toilet as she threw up, her face beet red and her breathing coming out in gasps. A short whimper passed through her lips before she vomited once more. She grabbed the closest towel and wiped her mouth off, tears sparkling on her bright blue eyes. Her stomach turned again and she groaned, pressing her cheek to the cool toilet. All she thought was that maybe the sushi she'd eaten the night before hadn't been good. That taught her to buy fish from a super market. Next time she'd stick to a sushi bar. As she stood up, her legs wobbled and she had to grip the counter to steady herself. A frown graced her features as she took in her reflection. She looked absolutely horrid, and super tired with the bags under eyes. Another grimace came through as she walked toward the shower, pressing her hand to the wall for support. She felt weak, just so very weak.
Antionette groaned once before stripping herself of her pajamas, her hand finally releasing the light pink and fluffy towel she'd been clutching. Her hand still rested on the counter as she leaned over it, staring herself dead in the eye and wondering why she felt so drained of energy. True, she'd just been throwing up, but it had never left her feeling so empty before. She ignored her stomach pains, thinking they were just hunger pains, and turned on the shower to a nice, relaxing hot temperature. All she wanted to do now was relax, and forget herself in the smoking room. The heat was already caking her mirror in steam and a small smile light her features up. It was the first time she'd felt happy that morning. Maybe things were turning up for the day. As she stepped into the shower, all pain was forgotten and she stood there, her eyes fluttering closed. Her mind was cleared and she placed her hand against the side of the shower, her head hung low like she was ashamed. Some part of her felt like she had done something wrong, like she had just ruined her life in a quick moment and she might not ever get it back. A quick shake of her golden locks and her mind was back in it's peaceful zone, where no bad thoughts could interrupt her moment of serenity and bliss. Finally, after washing her hair at least twice, she rinsed it and made a move to get out of the shower. For some reason, Ant slipped and fell on her rear end, her head hitting the tiled wall behind her.
"that hurt...", she grumbled, pushing herself up while rubbing both her bottom and her head, not knowing which one hurt the most. She draped herself in a warm and fluffy towel and walked past the mirror quickly, not wanting to see what she looked like. When the girl got to her room, she sat on the edge of the bed, not know what she was going to do after that. Her thoughts were clouded and she couldn't quite think straight, but that might have just been a moment of trauma from throwing up and then falling straight on her ass in the shower. Could you say bad day? After a few more moments of staring at her carpet, she stood and got dressed, slipping herself in to comfortable clothing and making her way out of the plain and simple room. There wasn't anything in there that really brought life to it, besides the picture of her and josh at the fair. It was an old one, and it caught her eye as she made to leave. A smile was short lived as she stared at it, reminiscing the memories of the long forgotten day of their first date. Then her stomach began to hurt again and she left the room, leaving the pictures and the memories behind her.
The young girl went down the stairs with odd grace for a girl who had just fallen on her bottom in the shower. Maybe it was because she had been taught since a young age that even without company, grace was a must. Her hand lifted as she flipped the switch and her thoughts ran off as her stomach made a loud grumble. She was definitely hungry, but what she was going to eat she didn't know. The refrigerator light beamed as she opened the door and peered in, her eyes lighting up when she saw and, weird enough, smelt the grapefruit half that lay on a plate inside. Antionette grabbed the plate and the pink grapefruit, kicking the door closed and heading for her computer. There she sat for the next half hour, talking to her brother Devlin. He was gay, but she loved him anyway. As for her other brother, she didn't know about him. She had been furious when he'd gone off to the war, but she became even more furious when she was told that he was home. The man hadn't even called her or Dev to let them know. What an ASS! Her eyes welled up in tears as the conversation turned for the worse. She hadn't even thought about the possibility about being pregnant, but once her brother brought it up, it made everything fit. Had she missed her period? Check. Was her sense of smell heightened? Check. Did she get sick in the mornings? Oh yeah, check. The last question left her wondering. Did she have cravings for foods she wouldn't normally eat? She couldn't think of any cravings and she stuffed another piece of grapefruit into her mouth, chewing it thoughtfully. Then she gasped. Grapefruit. She had always hated the disgusting smelly food, and there she was stuffing her fat face with it.
Antionette jumped away from the desk and the food, grabbing her jacket and running for the door. Devlin had said that he'd be there soon, so she had to go to the market quickly. Her car was parked on the side of the street, and she pressed her button and unlocked the doors before she was even close by, wanting to get into the car before anyone had the chance to see her and attempt a confrontation. The young girl drove to the store, and once inside her insides swirled and a light pink blush framed her cheeks. "calm down, just calm down...", she muttered to herself as she stared at the wide assortment of home, erm, pregnancy tests. With a desperate whimper, she picked up several different tests and went to the counter, not making eye contact with anyone as her items were rung up. Ant muttered a quick thanks and ran out, got in her car and drove home. This time, she pushed the garage door opener and parked inside. Her eyes welled up with tears again and she sat there, staring at her lap, ignoring the presence of the shopping bag in the passenger seat. Once she heard an engine die on the other side of the garage door, she got out of the car, plastic bag in hand, and headed inside. She placed the bag on her kitchen table before running to the door and throwing it open. The girl let out a small cry and ran at her brother, throwing herself at him and finally letting herself really cry for the first time in ages. Her head was buried in his chest and her fingers dug into his back as her grip on him tightened. The day really couldn't get worse, could it?

D E V L I N . M A L A C H I . F I T Z P A T R I C K MONDAY, JUNE 2009 D E V L I N . M A L A C H I . F I T Z P A T R I C K Secrets, everyone had secrets. Well, or at least thats how the saying goes. Devlin was not a person who kept things to himself. Never in his life could he keep his mouth shut when it came to important stuff, which is one of the reasons, well... the main reason why people didn't trust him. Its not that enjoyed betraying his friends by revealing what they had trusted upon him in secrecy. The guy just had a big mouth, and he really didn't mean any harm by it. It came to a surprise that his ssiter had trusted him with something like this. PREGNANT! there was a possibility that his baby sister was pregnant. First of all, Devlin never saw her as a woman, this was just his sister. Therefore, the idea that she would spread her legs and let some guy penetrate her was just disgusting. She was actually having sex with some douche who obviously had no fucking idea how a condom worked. If he even wore one to begin with. Devlin would not be at all surprised to find out that they just had sex in the heat of the moment without using the proper protection. Then, this pregnancy would be well fucking deserved for being so damn ignorant. Yes, Devlin Kingston was pissed beyond belief. He knew that Ant was going to expect him to be supportive, to hold her tight and tell her how everything was going to be alright. Yeah, she would be confusing him with Wyatt. If there was something about Dev was his inability to console another human being. the guy was as blunt as a person could get, and he often spoke before thinking of the words that were coming out of his mouth. He could not make someone feel better just for the sake of it. He would often do the opposite. Still, you could always expect the absolute truth from him, no matter how horrible that truth might seem. At least he would not keep you guessing, right?
As he waited thre by the doors, Devlin began to recollect all of the memories he had from his childhood. The moments he had spent with his little sister. How he used to tease her and make her cry and how Wyatt would come to save the day and make her feel all better. He did envy his brother for so many reasons. Reasons that he would rather remain in oblivion. No, the guy would never in his life admit to this reality. He would never open his mouth and tell the world how he was jealous of his older twin brother. the way things just seemed to fall on his lap. sure, he really ignored how his actual life was, for all he knew it was hell on earth. Devlin didn't know how his mentality was or anything, it was not like they were close or anything. Hey, they barely even talked. But when they were kids, Wyatt was the spoiled one, the one everyone seemed to admire for one reason or another. Devlin was always left in some corner, always the outsider. Then, he was an embarrasment. GAY! WHAT A FUCKING SCANDAL! Mr. Kingston almost had a heart attack when he found out about this and never spoke to his son again. Devlin'd relationship with his parents was never that great anyways, so it didn't make any difference. Now, his relationship with Ant had grewon stronger, specially since Wyatt left for the war. The "loss" of their brother seemed to strenghthen their bond somehow. They would always fight, but at least they were more tolerable around one another, which was more than could been said before.
Now, here he was, waiting for his sister to open the door. Devlin didn't know what to expect, but when those doors flew open and he saw his face, his greatest fears were confirmed. Ant threw her arms around his neck, hugging him tight, as tight as she possibly could. Devlin wrapped his arms around her tiny frame, trying not to squeeze her too much. Was she crying? This must really be something, since Dev could not remember tha last time she was this emotional. He allowed a few minutes to go by, remaining cmpletely silent and letting her bury her head on his shirt. Great, now he was going to have this dry cleaned. He could feel the tear stains on his fabric, and it made him take a deep breath in both frustration and worry. Most people in cases like these, would brush their fingers through the girl's hair and tel them how everything was going to be alright. but this was not an ordinary person. Devlin was not going to lie, it was not in his nature, and things were not going to be alright. FAR FROM IT!. "Ok, enough crying and more talking. Did you take the test?" His words might come across as inscensitive to some, but this was what he was like and the people who knew him best were already used to his antics. He grabbed her by her shoulders, pulling her away so he could see her face. It was red, his eyes were puffy and swollen, her hair was messy, and all this made him raise his brown and chuckle "Jesus fuck ant. You look like death"
