* WERE STUCK W H E R E WE ARE
AND ITS SO HARD AND SO F A R* zelodide woke up today with one thing in mind. she was gonna go visit bryce's brother adam, and get bryce's jacket. haha, she was only doing it because he suggested it. besides, she wouldn't mind having a thing that belonged to bryce. something she could walk around in. it would just feel like he'd be closer to her. however, that was not true, and wouldn't be true until a while. thats if bryce's plan would work out. she had the address of adam written down on a piece of paper, in her drawer. just because she could easily forget things.. adam turners address. she opened her eyes, the sunlight peeking into them. she loved the sun, the sun was like hope. the more it shined, the more hope there was. plus, the dull city of dermont needed to be brightened up. everyone had been upset lately. it was actually odd for her to be thinking that way. she wasn't to happy not to long ago. but the she started receiving these letters, it just warmed her up inside. opening her eyes all the way a small smile appeared on her face as she sat up, yawning and stretching her hands. she shifted herself so that her legs where dangling off the side of the bed. she smiled, she was ready to see adam. he was bryce's brother so he had to be cool. probably not as cool as bryce, because bryce did mention in one of her letters he was cooler. she stood up, picking out an outfit that she would wear today.that took about half an hur alone. its not like she was trying to impress bryce's brother right? okay, she was. if she was gonna be bryces girlfriend one day she had to impress all of his family. yes, she did beliee they'd end up together. or she wanted to believe it. she had dated so many jerks in her lifetime she wanted to give herself more credit than that. bryce was an amazing guy, super sweet he claims he was only sweet to her cause he liked her, she didn't believe it. sure she believed he liked her, but he had a good heart in general. finally deciding on what to wear she walked towards her bathroom.
she lived in a nice penthouse buy herself, her father supported her of course. she didn't have a job since she majored in journalism and minored in music at the UC. however, she was doing something with her life. she'd have to take care of her father once he grew older, so it was sort of like a deal deal type of thing. most families, well wealthy families worked that way. she had a lot of money, and she could spent it whatever. however, she wasn't a careless shopper. she was thankful for what she did had, she did know that during these times not to many people were wealthy like her and her family. like for example, harley, her best friend. her best friend would never be as wealthy as her, she couldn't do much either do to her condition. she wouldn't mind taking care of harley, whenever harley would need her all she'd have to do is call zelodide. zelodide personally didn't agree with harley dating romean. simply because romean is a party guy, party guys dont change their ways, they'll always be a party guy at heart. thats what she had thought. she thought she could change a bad boy once,she was wrong. then he ended up using her and she was the one that felt so stupid. she hated that guy. but he was harleys brother so she couldn't hate him too much, or she could..she just had to act like she could tolerate him. that alone was hard enough. she pushed the thought of dre to the back of her head.
zelodide closed the door to her bathroom and locked it. stripping herself form her pajamas and all she hopped into the shower, and took a shower. once she was out she dried herself off and dressed herself into the outfit she had spent a lot of time picking out. then she had brushed her teeth for a good amount of time, and once she was done cleaning up everything she had messed up she had grabbed a come and combed her long brown hair. she had straightened it, it was long, straightened, and the bang was covering her forehead. one of her favorite ways of doing her hair. then there was the wavy style she liked as well. she walked back into her room when she felt completely ready to go and got that piece of paper out of her drawer. once she finally decided it was ready for her to go she grabbed her purse and made her way outside. locking her door behind her of course. she made her way into her car. after about 15 good minutes of driving, speeding almost she made her way to adams residence. parking her car, she stepped out. looking over at the door, a small smile appeared on her face. she hoped he would like her, and he would write bryce good things about her. if anyone knew what was right for their sibling it was family. unless that persons name was deandre.
zelodide made her way to the door, ringing the door bell once. she stood, her arms crossed behind her back. then she took a few steps back, she didnt want to be all in his face when he opened the door. then she crossed her arms over her chest. haha, nope, that would look like she was impatient or something right? so she just kept her arms to her side. when the door opened she grinned, "hey." she said, she was pretty bubbly and everything, so he'd probably get use to it soon. "um, i'm zelodide. a friend of your brothers. he asked me to come and get his one black jacket...um..i think he told you about it?" she said, not sure if bryce did. she kept the same grin on her face when she was let in, walking in she looked around at her surroundings. she was honestly freaking out, but not saying much. he looked way to much like bryce for his own good. it just made her wish bryce was here even more. good thing she was warned about adam, the birthmark on the neck. if she didn't know better she'd have thought it was bryce and probably would have done something stupid. "bryce writes about you all the time, its finally nice to meet you." she told him, walking further in then turning around to look back at him.

With his face buried in the pillow, a hand shot up from under the covers and searched around for the alarm clock that had been going off for about two minutes now, but he had been far too lazy to turn it off. He half-expected it to turn itself off, before he threw it halfway across the room, but it was lucky today. Usually his twin brother came in to wake him up, as he was the early bird, but Adam would just groan sleepily and wave him away. He wasn't the responsible one. But once he was woken up, he tended to drag himself out of bed, so he missed having his brother around to start the process. He sighed heavily as he ran his hand down his face, before shuffling his feet all the way to the bathroom. He opened his mouth and stretched his hands high above his head as he yawned loudly, before brushing his teeth and tossing some clothing on. He knew that his brother's girlfriend friend was coming over today, so he had been asked to be in his best behavior. Pssh, since when was he an embarrassment? It was ridiculous. On his way to the living room, he picked up a stick of gum and threw it into his mouth, giving him something to do while he plopped down on the lazyboy and turned on the tv, deciding to channel surf. They only had basic cable ever since his brother left, since being a mechanic didn't bring in as much as it used to. He didn't watch much tv anyway, since he was usually out and about. He wasn't a hermit.
As far as the war goes, Adam didn't believe in it. He was one of those skeptics that thought that it would all blow over soon, because it couldn't possibly end well anyway. He wasn't scared about trading places with his brother. When he lost his job, Bryce had taken him in and given him a home. They had always been very close, even as children. They had a bond that was pretty intense, so it was hard for him to be away from his brother. It was like he was missing his other half. It wasn't the same going out to places and confusing the ladies, even if Bryce was oddly reserved lately and didn't seem interested in anyone other than this Zelodide girl. He'd never met her before, but he heard plenty about her. Bryce had even bought himself a suit, for god sakes! Yes, a suit! Although Bryce was the more mild-mannered twin, he hadn't always been that way. Bryce was the older twin, while Adam was the younger. He always looked up to his brother, so everything that he did now was something that Bryce could easily say, 'been there, done that, lil' bro.' But after he met this girl, he seemed to change. He didn't just listen to hard rock, he listened to the ballads and to those dreaded slow songs. He didn't flirt when they went out, even though he did get slapped one time because Bryce was confused for Adam. He still felt bad about that.
Adam looked up to his brother for putting up with the draft so well. I mean, he didn't mind volunteering for the better good and whatnot, but he hated being forced to do something. He heard the doorbell and his head snapped towards it, before spitting the gum into the trash and re-adjusting the collar of his dark green coat. He had Bryce's black coat folded up on the couch, knowing that she would be coming for it. He would look at it sometimes when he was alone, remembering how well it looked on his brother. He would miss having it around, but he wouldn't tell Zelodide that. It was silly, and besides, he did have pictures and other things. But he still missed the guy like hell. Finally, he made his way to the door, opening it up to come face to face with a pretty beautiful girl. He had no doubt that this was Bryce's friend. They both had really good taste in women. "Hey," he greeted back with a warm grin, before she introduced herself. "Oh, so you're the girl. I've been expecting you. My brother told me you were coming. I'm Adam. Come in," he said as he stepped aside to let her in, before closing the door behind them. The apartment was pretty clean and neat, not really anything out of place, although normally it was a bit messy when it was just him. He would forget where he put the photo albums and empty out the contents of all the drawers, before getting a call to hang out with the guys and putting off the cleanup for days.
He shoved his hands into his jean pockets, not entirely sure how to act around a woman that he wasn't supposed to hit on, but he would manage. She seemed friendly enough. But he was planning on finding out what kind of girl she was. He wanted only the best for his brother, although he wouldn't tell her that directly, because he was pretty sure that they were still dancing around each other and not dating yet. Still, she seemed like someone that he could hang out with. He had his fair share of both male and female friends, so he wasn't biased. He would just have to be careful not to flirt with her, because of the whole twin thing and whatnot. It would just be wrong. "Really? Well, I wouldn't believe anything he says... unless it's good stuff, then you can," he said with a light laugh, before nodding. "Likewise. He asked me to look after you while he was gone. I think he's pretty fond of you. But don't tell him that I told you that. He would kill me." He winked playfully, before moving over to sit, nodding to the couch that had Bryce's black jacket folded up nicely.

* WERE STUCK W H E R E WE ARE
AND ITS SO HARD AND SO F A R* zel smiled when he mentioned her being the " girl ". she smiled, "yep, i'm the girl." she smiled. he didn't look to mean, so she didnt have anything to worry about. haha she felt like she was meeting his parents or something, even though adam wasn't bryce's mom or dad, he was still a big part of bryce's life. hell, they were twins! most twins were close. she nodded when he told her his name, she already knew it but basically they were introducing their selves. she let herself inside when he had gave her the 'okay'. f he were bryce she would have just walked in right passed him and smiled at him, and be all "thanks for letting me in," she would act silly and things like that around bryce. she had to keep reminding herself, that's not bryce, that's adam. haha. the apartment was pretty clean, hah. bryce had told her he was pretty lazy, so he must have been trying to impress zelodide as well? the place didnt look to bad at all, actually. she turned to look at adam. so what did he think? gosh! she had probably dressed up way to much? or maybe he was impressed. she wanted him to know that she would be a good girl for his brother..well..she wouldn't tell him that. so far all that adam knew about her was that she and bryce were friends. she wasn't gonna get all crazy with it and be all " i'm in love with your brother." she imagined herself doing so, smiling a little to the thought. adam would probably look at her with a 'what the hell' type of look on his face. but, in a recent letter bryce told her that he liked her. that was the problem with the word like. there were three different types of likes. a 'i like those shoes', a 'i like you, your cool,' or 'damn it! cant you see i like you, kiss me!?' type of thing. so she didnt know what category she stood under, she wasn't an object, so their were two categories left. aww, and the picture he had sent him, it was too cute!
she laughed, he wasn't mean and he was funny.so that was win win. bryce was funny to, so it had to have rubbed off on adam. "haha no worries, its all good. " she lied, hahah well, thats if you thought 'laziness' and being the 'not as cool' twin was a good thing. then you were just weird, and apparently bad at your judgment? she laughed a long with him. she wasnt as nervous as before, but she still was. "really?" she said, when she was told that he asked adam to look after her. she didnt need anyone to look after her, but it felt good that bryce worried about her. then he had gotten to, he'd 'fond' of you. she couldn't help but giggle and hold her hands together. "really? you think so?" she asked with a small shrug, then had let her hands fall to her side again. "oh, i wont. i promise." she'd smiled, that was a hard promise to make. if she didnt promise him then she'd probably be able to tease him about it. she'd be all ' i hear your pretty fond of me'. she smirked. "so what else has your brother told you about me?" she asked, making conversation, and because she wanted to know what bryce told other people about her. when he had nodded over towards the couch she smiled, "oh, right.." she said, walking towards it and grabbing it, holding it in her hand.
zelodide wasn't really thirsty, but she wanted to impress the guy. so she couldn't be all "no..." ha! "sure, waters fine, please..... thank you." she said. walking towards where he was. that's when she began wondering, was adam ready to switch places with bryce? not everyone could handle the war, and she knew bryce couldn't, but could adam. was adam just setting himself up for death. was this a good guy. adam seemed like a nice guy over all. so was it really fair that he was trading places with his brother, "what your doing..for your brother, thats...its amazing." she said, bringing the subject she couldn't stop thinking about up. "your a good brother from what i hear." she added in. she didnt want to scare him about the war, she just wanted him to know she clearly thought he was amazing for it. she did, he was one of her hero's and he didn't even know it. he was and so was david. david being one of her older friends, a previous soldier who had served his time and lost his wife during it. the guy was so strong, zelodide was just his emotional support.
zel didnt understand why people treated david so badly. the guy walked with a cane, sure, but that's because his legs gave out on him. he was walking again, wasn't that good enough for the people of dermont. would anything ever be good enough. she didn't even know why this stupid war was being fought. "so are you a rocker at heart, like your brother? and if so, who rocks harder?" she asked, a small smile on her face as she took the glass of water he had made for her. thanking him she took a small sip. holding the jacket in one hand, she placed it down, then wrapped both hands around the cup.

Disarm you with a smile, and leave , - - - You like they left me here, to wither in denial .
Adam could tell that this would be a good girl for Bryce, even if he hadn't personally spoken more than a couple of words to her yet, but he was a good judge of character. He couldn't understand why Bryce was head over heels for her though, but that was mostly just because he didn't know what love was like. Not true love. Maybe he was just too afraid of letting it in, because he'd been burned once before. He'd admitted his feelings, only to be told that she was interested in someone else, and he could feel her slapping him across the face with every word, even if she didn't physically move a muscle. Bryce seemed more like the type to take the risk, which was funny since Adam was the daring one. So why hadn't he told Zelodide how he felt yet? I mean, Bryce spoke about her all the time, and sometimes Adam felt like he knew her himself without ever having seen her face. But he hadn't and even Adam knew that it was only because his big brother was afraid. Regardless of what he thought about her, which was all positive at the moment, he would look after his brother. If someone broke his heart, they would certainly hear from him. Adam was pretty protective of the people that he was close to, so if she managed to get into their circle of trust, he would look after her too. She didn't really seem like the type to need it, but still. He'd have her back.
He couldn't imagine what this was like for her, having to see your friend's twin, but not being able to talk to the person that you missed. He wondered if someone would miss him when he was gone. Maybe some of his clients that he'd fixed a car for, or a couple of party friends here and there, but nothing serious. Bryce deserved to be here, Adam didn't feel like he did. He was just wasting his time, sleeping in during mornings and going out to party at night. Except for last night, because he stayed home to make sure that it looked okay for today. He wasn't sucking up, that was sort of her job, but he wanted their place to look presentable. After all, Bryce lived here too from time to time. As he looked at her, he noticed that she had dressed nicely, as if this were an interview or something. She got brownie points for that alone, even if he didn't let it get to his head. He wasn't some big business tycoon or something. In fact, he was pretty down to earth and laid-back. He too had been writing to his brother, but it had been more neutral. They started using codes that they had invented when they were little, so that no one else would understand their masterplan, but when things started getting screened, Adam decided to wait until his brother got back home to really talk things through. They had no room for error.
Although he did want to spend some time with his brother, Adam knew that it would be for the best if he left. He was doing this for a greater cause. He laughed at her reassurance, though he was pretty sure Bryce had said something bad about him, it was natural. They were twins, so they had to set themselves apart somehow. "Yeah, you know... to be here for you if you need anything," he replied with a nod of his head, before grinning with a slight tilt of his head when she giggled. "Yeah, I do. I guess I can see why, you seem like a pretty cool chic. Especially if you're willing not to tell him and spare me from his wrath." He could tell that she wanted to hear more about his suggestion, but he was just giving her a little nudge in the right direction. Anyone could see that they were meant to be with each other. They just clicked, you know? He wished he was half as lucky someday. But for now, he didn't mind being a stray bullet. He didn't have anyone telling him what to do or what to think. "What else? Uhh, not much, really. Just that you're into journalism, I believe? And that you actually put up with his loud rock music and his love for old cars. So I commend you."
He nodded with a grin when she stated simply that she'd like some water, leaving her alone in the room with the jacket while he went into the kitchen. He grabbed a glass from the cabinet and poured some water into it from the pitcher. He turned to hand her the glass, giving her a warm smile, "You're welcome." She was polite too. You didn't see that too often anymore. When she continued speaking, he leaned back against the counter, shrugging his shoulders a bit. "He's been there for me my whole life. It's the least I can do." Adam didn't think that anything was too much for his brother. They were flesh and blood. He deserved it. "Yeah?" he added when she said that he was a good brother, glancing down at the floor with a half sheepish smile. Good thing guys didn't blush. "I do what I can. Bryce has a good heart. He deserves to be home." He thought about the war for a moment, something that he didn't believe in. What was it good for in the end? They probably wouldn't live to see the positive effects that come from it, if any. It could be years from now. He looked up again at her words and he couldn't resist a laugh. "I'm more of a punk rocker with some hip hop here and there. He likes the classic stuff. He's had the same station on his car forever, and he'll bite me if I change it... so I rock more, because I like variety?" * WERE STUCK W H E R E WE ARE
AND ITS SO HARD AND SO F A R* zelodide couldn't help but feel worry for the guy that looked so much like the man she loved. was he ready for this war? was he sure? she admired him, words alone couldn't thank the guy. looking at adam made her want bryce to be here even more. she just hoped that adam would be okay, she didn't want him to die. she didn't want him to be hurt, injured, none of that. she didn't know what she would do if bryce lost his brother to thw ar to. she had already lost rafe, she knew how horrible that felt. how it could change a person, she didn't let it get the best of her, she had a while back, but she wasn't as depressed. she did have nightmares every once in a while. when some one you loved die you oculd only imagine the horrible death they experienced. she would much rather go in her sleep, or something less painful. but to die in action? seriously? rafe was so young, as soon as he turned the legal age to fight the war they took him away. she never got to apologize to him about how much of a bitch she was to him. she missed his voice, his smile, his twinkle in his brown eyes. she missed looking at a mini male version of herself. she missed having that little brother to stick up for. plus, if adam was going to go and switch places with his brother, he had to be leaving something behind. she'd miss him for sure, she hadn't even known him for five minutes but she knew she would miss him.
she nodded, when he added in why he had her back. "yeah, right. and same for me, for you." she smiled with a small nod after it. whoever she cared about, if they had someone they cared about, she would only have to care to. she wouldn't mind having adams back, if it meant form any of his crazy ex girlfriends or something, or financially, she'd be there for him. she wouldn't care what he would say.. she had money, she would help, point blank period. she couldn't force someone to let her help them though, so she'd probably be sneaky with it. like this charity event she and some other citizes and university members were thinking of. a way to bring the dermont citizens back. that would cost a lot of money and she couldn't just get money like that out of her bank account. she still had bills and things like that to pay, so a charity event was awesome plus, it gave this boring town a thing to do. since the draft had been enforced the city of dermont had been so dull lately. she just wanted to bring it back its life. she loved this city, this was her hometown. this is the city that molded and shaped her character. she had to pay it back somehow.
zel smiled when he said that she seemed like a cool chic. hahah, that word was funny to her 'chic' but everyone spoke differently. this girl here was a lady. "thanks, adam." she told him. "and you seem like a pretty cool....dude." she added in, teasingly. she managed to tease people, (not in flirty ways) but just jokingly and she wasn't aware of it half of the time. she laughed at his second half of his previous compliment. "of course not. i wouldn't want that." she told him. "but bryce? wrath? two words that don't match if you ask me, haha probably pouts. i spared you a couple of his pouts?" she smiled. bryce was so cute to her. he did the cutest things, and acted the cutest way. then she had gone into asking him if he had really thought that bryce was fond of her. then she had asked what else he had told him about her. "oh yes, journalism is my life." she added in. she loved writing, "plus, it comes with lots of options, i'll say." she said. she laughed at that second part. "yes i do, haha i think its cute.." she smirked. "well, thanks. haha yes, his old car lovingness.he's one unique character, thats why he's awesome." she told him, smiling, just thinking abut bryce. how silly he'd act when one of his favorite songs played on the radio or something.
zel sat her drink down after taking another sip, to get into more serious conversation with adam. she had complimented him on being a good brother. "well, he's pretty lucky to have a brother like you." she smiled. she agreed when he said that bryce had a good heart, "yes he does. he's so sweet." she smiled, not thinking. why was she telling adam all of these nice things about bryce. he'd probably tell him, "but dont tell him i said that or you'll feel my wrath, kay?" she joked with him, knowing he probably would..but, she wanted him too. she listened to what he had said next, describing the music he enjoyed. "oh, variety. i love variety, so your not alone on that. hehe but i've gotten use to his loud rock music. but every now and then i change the station, he hasnt torn off my arm yet, so i think he's starting to enjoy the type of musics i listen to as well." she smiled. this wasn't half bad, he wasn't to hard to talk to. "he needs to get in with the 'now' "she smirked.
